14 Night Botswana Safari

• Arrive at Maun Airport

Welcome to Botswana! Arrive at Maun Airport and meet your Afrika Ecco representative who will be waiting to take you to your accommodation for the night. If you would like to purchase any personal items, your Afrika Ecco rep will take you to the mall. Arrive at Audi Camp where you will sleep in tented safari suites for the night. Use the afternoon to refresh and enjoy the location on the Thamalakane River before having dinner at the lodge restaurant and heading to bed.

• Depart Maun for Deception Valley, CKGR
• Camp at private BOGA Site in Deception Valley

Early wake up at Audi Camp and full breakfast served in the lodge restaurant before you are met by your guide, camp assistant and chef to begin the journey to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. The 7 hour journey on a game viewer takes you through Matswere Gate into the famous Deception Valley and to a private BOGA (Botswana Guides Association) campsite, which is reserved for local guides only ensuring a private and authentic safari. Set up camp and relax with a refreshment until darkness falls and dinner is served under the Kalahari stars. After 3 delicious courses and a long day on the road, it’s time for bed!

• Morning game drive in Deception Valley
• Afternoon drive in Deception Valley

Early wake up and a cooked breakfast at 06h30 before heading out on game drive visiting Deception Pan and numerous waterholes in this semi-arid reserve. Arrive back at camp after 4 hours and refresh with warm bucket showers and a tasty lunch before relaxing at camp for the afternoon. High tea is served at 15h00, after which you depart for game drive until sunset. Return to camp for dinner and a chat around the campfire under the stars before heading to bed.

• Depart Deception Valley for Makgadikgadi Pans National Park
• Full day drive through Makgadikgadi to campsite

Early wake up followed by breakfast and a short morning game drive in Deception Valley before returning to camp for a 09h00 departure. Packed lunch is prepard to enjoy on the road. By early afternoon you reach the pontoon that takes the vehicle across the Boteti River and to the Kumaga Gate of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. Enjoy a short game drive along the river where elephants and other wildlife gather. Continue through the open landscape of the reserve until reaching Tree Island (a secluded government campsite) on the edge of the famous saltpans. Set up camp and settle down for dinner and a night under the stars.

• Journey from Makgadikgadi to Maun
• Boat cruise from Maun to the Okavango Delta

Early wake up with coffee and breakfast overlooking the edge of the pans before packing up camp and heading through the reserve towards Maun. Arrive in Maun in time for lunch at a restaurant and use the opportunity to purchase any personal items before heading into the Delta for 3 nights. You will be driven to the boat station on the Thamalakane River, which leads into the Delta. Enjoy a 3-4 hour boat cruise to Xaxaba Island and arrive to a prepared campsite complete with safari tents, wash basins, en suite canvas bathrooms, and

bucket showers. Meet your local pollers and enjoy the wild environment before a shower, 3-course dinner, and your first night in the Delta!

• Afternoon mokoro cruise

Early wake up with the birds, followed by breakfast with tea and coffee before your local guides take you on a long walk on Chief’s Island. Climb into a mokoro and enjoy the short journey across the waters from the campsite to Chief’s Island. From here, you take to the famous island on foot for a 3-4 hour guided walkng safari. Return to camp via mokoro, enjoy a freshly prepared bucket shower and a delicious brunch/ lunch at about 12h00. Spend the afternoon at camp for a siesta, reading, or bird watching. High tea is served at 15h00, after which you can look forward to an afternoon mokoro cruise through the intricate waterways of the Delta. Return to camp at sunset for a scenic sundowner and time spent chatting around the fire until dinner is served. Head to bed when you’re ready.

Early wake up, breakfast, tea and coffee, followed by your second walk on Moremi Game Reserve’s Chief’s Island. You will travel to the island in a mokoro once again, and enjoy a 3-4 hour walking safari. Return to camp and indulge in a warm shower and tasty lunch before relaxing for the afternoon. High tea is served, followed by a mokoro cruise to the village of Xaxaba, where you can enjoy a locally guided tour and the opportunity to purchase curios.

Arrive back at camp for dinner and fireside chatter before turning in for your last night under the Delta stars.

• Early morning boat cruise to Maun
• Drive from Maun to Xinii campsite in the Moremi Game Reserve

Early wake up followed by breakfast, tea and coffee. This morning you leave Xaxaba and head back to Maun on a 3-4 hour boat cruise. Upon arrival in Maun, you will have the opportunity to buy any personal items you need and enjoy brunch at a restaurant before departing in a game viewer destined for Moremi Game Reserve. Arrive at Moremi’s Maqwee Gate (South Gate) and continue into the reserve to your private BOGA campsite at Xinii. These sites are reserved for local guides only, ensuring a private and authentic

camping experience. After setting up camp, enjoy a short sunset drive to Xinii Lagoon for a game viewing experience to remember. Return to a firelit camp, a 3-course dinner and your first night in Moremi.

Early wake up followed by breakfast, tea and coffee, after which you will depart for a morning game drive lasting 3-4 hours. Return to camp for a refreshing shower and lunch

before enjoying a quiet afternoon siesta. High tea is served at 15h00 and is followed by game drive until sunset. After game drive, arrive back at camp and enjoy sitting around the fire before indulging in a 3-course dinner, and then, your welcoming bed.

• Full day safari in Moremi Game Reserve

Early morning wake up and breakfast, followed up some sun screen application and preparing for a full day out in the Moremi.  Your chef prepares you a packed lunch and a

cooler box, which is packed into the game viewer alongside the coffee and rusks for that mid-morning stop. Depart the camp after breakfast and enjoy a long day on safari, returning in the mid-afternoon for tea and a rest before dinner is served under the stars once more.

• Pack up camp and game drive to second Moremi campsite location at Samahundu

Early wake up followed by breakfast, tea and coffee, before packing up camp and boarding the game viewer for a 4-5 hour drive through the reserve to the second campsite in Moremi. Enjoy the scenic drive and arrive at Samahundu BOGA campsite in time for lunch. Set up camp and  enjoy an afternoon siesta before high tea at 16h00

followed by a sunset game drive in this new region of Moremi. Return to camp and sit around a crackling campfire before indulging in yet another 3-course meal and heading off to bed when you’re ready.

• Depart Moremi for Savute, Chobe National Park
• Afternoon game drive to the Savute Marsh

Extra early wake up with hot coffee and breakfast followed by camp pack-up and then boarding the game viewer for the 5-6 hour journey through Chobe to Savute. Enter Chobe National Park at Mababe Gate and enjoy the scenery and game viewing opportunities before stopping for packed lunch in a shady picnic spot. Arrive at private Savute BOGA site, set up camp and relax. High tea is served at 15h00, after which you embark the vehicle once more for an afternoon game drive to the famous Savute Marsh. Return at sunset to

a campfire and good food under the stars before turning in for the night.

Early wake up with tea, coffee, and breakfast before boarding the game viewer for a long morning game drive in this special region of northern Chobe. Stop for coffee when the time calls for it, and finally return to camp just before lunch is served at 12h00. A warm bucket shower is prepared for you, and refreshments are served, as you relax for the afternoon before high tea at 15h00 and your last afternoon game drive departs. Enjoy the wildlife, the scenery and the sunset before returning to camps for an excellent 3-course meal and conversations around the fire, after which you head to bed for your last night in the bush.

• Depart Savute for Kasane 
• Sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River

Extra early wake up at 05h00 followed by a bleary-eyed breakfast and much-needed coffee before packing up camp for the last time. Board the vehicle and depart the campsite by 07h00. Drive through northernmost Chobe and exit the park at the Ghoha Gate, headed for the popular town of Kasane, which shares borders with Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Stop for a picnic lunch en route. Arrive at your lodge in Kasane at about 14h00 and check in to your air-conditioned tented suite. This is where you bid farewell to your Afrika Ecco

team, before having a refreshing shower and being picked up by your Chobe River guide.

Arranged for you is a private Chobe Riverfront boat cruise at sunset complete with refreshments, followed by a tasty dinner at your lodge’s restaurant, and a good night’s sleep.

*Kwalepe Lodge or similar is booked for you. Camping with your Afrika Ecco team is also an option.

• Depart Kwalape Lodge for own onward activities

Wake up to a full breakfast served at your lodge’s restaurant. After breakfast prepare for your onward travel arrangements start. Guests are welcome to add a night in Kasane to incorporate a day trip to Victoria Falls at an extra cost.
